Garden Diary

How is it August already!!

Last time I mentioned one of my pumpkin plants died but one more was on the go- well it has produced two pumpkins and are bigger than the last one that fell off 😦 fingers crossed these two survive! This was at the start of the month: The other day πŸ˜€ Need to put some straw underneath πŸ™‚

This is the second pumpkin from the 2nd big max plant

We also cleared the back of the pumpkin patch

Planted another forsythia too!

The rudbeckia seeds are coming along πŸ™‚

Also planted nemesia- gorgeous smell of honey

The chillis are coming along well- 8 in total so far – can’t wait to make sweet chilli jam with them very soon πŸ™‚ also the tomatoes are all ripening (have given some to our neighbours to return the favour as they gave us runnerbeans last year)

The sunflowers are growing well and planted delphiniums and cosmos to go around them

Our first pepper!

Then decided Jess and Williams fairy garden instead of the small pot they now have their own mini space so they can plant more seeds etc.. more room too!

We also planted a hydrangea at the front next to the rockery- I’m glad it stayed blue πŸ™‚

I’m going to try cuttings next month πŸ˜‰
