In ancient times…

I’m linking up with JB47’s 100 Word Challenge.Week 42- 100 word count prompt- Liberty, Enormous, Apple, Yellow, Empire

She stood looking down at what she has just inherited; the Apollo Empire- in all its glory was hers at last. The yellow ball of fire in the sky shone in happiness for Liberty.

With the people cheering to their new ruler the enormous task of what’s to come steadily came into realisation. Biting down hard on the apple she pondered what should be done first.

The new era has begun, and one that will never be forgotten- for Liberty was now queen and she vowed to not repeat history – even if it meant that Apollo had to go into war.

great beginning…i’d like to see what’s next! well done. 🙂

  2. I would like to find out what is next as well. Great use of the prompts.

I like the way you wove all of those words together into this story. (The line about her pondering over her apple was probably my favorite!)

And, like Lorraine, I’d love to see what happens next, since war brings out such fierce emotion.

    Great job!

  4. thanks guys! thought put a historic yet fantasy twist to this weeks prompt- enjoyed writing it! maybe after my fairy godmother bookie might use this as a short fantasy fiction piece 🙂 then you will see what happens next 😛 xx

  5. Enjoyed this very much. I like the fact that her name was Liberty, which invokes for me freedom and peace, but which was juxtaposed with Apollo going to war. Liberty sounds like a bright, wise ruler. What will she do next?

  6. What a great use of Liberty, lovely name. A great piece and fab writing as always x

  7. This was great; loved how it had a sense of myth about it ; but worked just as well as post-apocalyptic. Nicely done 🙂
