Book description-
Lucy Sweeney learns that motherhood isn’t all shiny and perfect and is caught between the perfectionist Yummy Mummy No 1 and hypercompetitive Alpha Mum. From school runs to coffee shop meetings still does not stop the danger that lurks as she is distracted by Sexy Domesticated Dad.
Review-
The character Lucy made me chuckle a couple of times and I liked the sub plots for the other characters. I also liked how they are named (Yummy Mummy no1, Alpha mum, Sexy domesticated dad)
The main plot was between Lucy and SDD relationship, but when mild flirtation got out of hand you are wondering what will happen, which with so much build up the ending was abit of a let down and seemed rushed… and are left wondering what happened after? is that it? A parent version of bridget jones.
At times i did get abit bored but overall its not a bad read showing domestic life isnt always perfect.
6/10
🙂 I like how short and to the point your review is. Do you think the author may have wanted to make a sequel answering your questions?
One thing that might be helpful is to know how long the book was/how long it took you to read it. Not that I couldn’t look that up on Amazon or whatever, but it might give a potential reader an idea of the investment in time and attention.
Thanks!
ooh good tip thanks hun! for me i struggled so took a while, like a week or two as kept putting it down and motivation to read it slumped. x
