Meet me at the cupcake cafe- book review

Book description-

Issy Randall is the proud owner of The Cupcake Café where she can bake mouth-wateringly cakes that she learnt from her Grandad.

When she’s made redundant from her City job, Issy decides to seize the moment and set up her own business.

Could not put this book down (was addictive just like cupcakes)

It was easy to get into the main characters head where you wanted to laugh and cry with her through her journey and the other characters were realistic and warm (apart from Graeme!) the romantic tension between Issy and Austin was written perfectly. It gives out a postive message that with one door that closes another opens, and especially in these financial times.

The writing style flowed brilliantly with good pace (that did not take ages to get into or you wonder where the books direction is taking you) with baking instructions that pop in every now and then (and for someone who loves baking is always on the look out for new recipes to try) makes it unique book worth reading. A relaxing read – Well done Jenny Colgan.
